The painting depicts four Indian women of different ages and types in red sarees and jewelry. This work was born from a small sketch that I made during one of my inspiring expeditions to India. These were the pilgrims who stopped by the river to rest a little in the shade. All the women were dressed in red saris - this is the color of Shakti, the vital female energy in the Hindu tradition, of which the entire manifested world consists. I was very intrigued that honoring feminine energy is so attractive to women of all ages and backgrounds. I immediately realized that I wanted to paint them on canvas. When I approached and asked to make a sketch, they were very happy, but it was obvious that they were a little nervous. But when I showed them the finished sketch, they seemed to like it very much! In my work, I wanted to depict not only the four stages of a woman's life but also show others the various features that are widely spread in India - Vedoid, Dravidian, Tibeto-Burmese, and Caucasoid. I decided to create in one picture not only faces of different ages and different characters but also anthropological types. The painting is covered with acrylic-styrene art varnish, resistant to fading, and easy to care for. I will send it carefully packed in a box with all the required documents attached.
