My paintings are the outcome of a series of the subconscious and intuitive gestures, creating chaos and harmony on the canvas. I apply many layers of thick paint with different strokes. Sometimes I apply other materials such as plaster to create textures, repeating the process until I see a picture that resonates with my intuition. I don’t have any plan or subject in mind when painting, I remove myself and any logical thoughts and let my subconscious take charge; choice of colors, amount of paint to apply, where to paint, a direction of a stroke, nothing is planned nor logical. I repeat the process until I am satisfied with its aesthetics. Finding surprises in the painting is one of my biggest joys of working.
