About The Artwork

This piece was inspired by a bronze rooster found in a creek in France. The rooster is believed to be Roman. I love the intensity of this ancient creature. The matte plaster against the shiny paint and fine red and white lines from the wax pencil is really forceful and almost too commercial for my sensibilities however I couldn't resist.
