About The Artwork
The leopard is the most secretive and elusive of Africa's Big Five animals. Any sighting is thrilling, but to see a leopard on the hunt is a truly extraordinary experience. This painting is based on an image captured as the patient hunter burst from this hiding place in the tall grass in pursuit of his prey. On his way past he locked eyes with the photographer as if to say "I see you, too." Oil on canvas was chosen as preferred medium. Oil paint is rich in colour and texture. Just love how the leopards' fur coat comes alive with the oil paint. It was immense fun painting/creating the movement of the leopard running, while on his hunt.

They love its organic look and feel, and view it as the ultimate in recycling, creating something beautiful out of pure waste. Its use also provides an opportunity to publicize the plight of the elephant in order to raise funds and awareness for conservation
