About The Artwork

Beautiful Deckled edges on this 300 pound Kilimanjaro cold press paper make it one of the finest watercolor papers to work with. The Professional grade watercolors have lovely hues. This was inspired by my father the Scottish international traveler who had great sailing skills. He taught me to live life and travel along through life lightly. Catch some wind in your sails to carry you on. In 4 different hues of denim blues. He had light blue eyes and blue was his favorite color.

Hi everybody, I hope that all is well in your various worlds. I love to travel to nature sights and paint en plein air. Richard Schmid is my favorite artist as I've worked in venues that he's been in at the same time and he's relaxed and yet old school gentleman an great training. I really love John Singer Sargent's singing with transparent watercolor studies. Linen and cotton canvas are the surfaces I use for oil paintings. I experiment with hot and cold wax and oil with different oils such as walnut. I use artists' quality Winsor & Newton Oil Paints. Watercolor paper 300 pound hot press with a very smooth surface is a rugged and workable paper. My watercolors of choice are Old Holland, Holbein and Winsor & Newton Artist quality paints.
