About The Artwork
It is a work of minimalist geometry using the line, the black line square and the rectangular shape. There is a subtle and fine white line that runs through and is part of the composition. It is a minimalist work that contains two panels and is a diptych. Each part measures 116 x 89 x 2 cm and together in the composition it measures 116 x 178 x 2 cm. It is acrylic on cotton duck canvas prepared with casein glue. They are sent in a wooden box and the parts are not independent, they are not joined together. You have to join them when assembling them.

Annabel Andrews was born in the Isle of Wight in 1940 now lives and works in El Escorial near Madrid Spain, where the colour, light and volumes of the mountains inspire her work. As also her friendship with the late Spanish artists Pablo Palazuelo and Jose Guerrero. By preparing her own canvases with home made casein glue base and zinc white the work is light and luminous ready for applying acrylic colours.
