About The Artwork

This piece Sanguine sea is important to me, I feel its the piece that change me; in the moment of the idea to the combination of colours and figure. its opened the door of discussion and holds beauty with in. for me the images that I have seen of whale/porpoise killing commercial, ritual, or agricultural, have stayed with me. In particular the colour of the lapping waves of sanguine water, that is the byproduct of the act. I'm in pascal to the practice but try to question motive, with the figure of the fisherman opening a tin. one aspect of the the reasoning behind the cull, is the effect they perceive to have on the number of tuna in the sea. The piece is painted on Beach plywood that has been oiled with tung oil with many layers and many hours of drying and sanding in between. all paints are Michael Harding's artists oil colours. This also comes with 2 x D rings for easy hanging. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me via email. Tim@Elisha-Lambert.co.uk
