About The Artwork
When visiting Hatea River in Whangarei a striking view opened onto the underside of an extensive sunsail. The seagull standing on it was partly visible, partly showing through the rough mesh and in addition as a shadow falling on the same mesh. The prominent diagonal division of colours made for an exciting natural composition. This painting comes in an off-white mount.
