About The Artwork
This wall mural painting is a tribute to the legendary tailor, Mr.Pak Aziz. The mural were painted on a hundred year old heritage building wall in Penang Island, located at the heart of Georgetown Malaysia, called the Penang Bazaar. Penang Bazaar is famous in selling merchandise of silk, cotton, traditional Malaysian costume as well as tailoring trades. The mural of Pak Aziz were commisioned by the building owner as a tribute to his 40 years long service as a traditional tailor. This traditional tailoring trade is also seen as a dying trade worthy of appreciation by the younger generation.
