About The Artwork
This started out inspired by a song named The Butterfly Tree, which I had listened/watched on YouTube, sung by a group of school children in Africa. I adore this song and I encourage you to listen to it. For months I dreamt of Africa, this Butterfly Tree... and then the idea popped into my head that I think Aretha Franklin would be perfect in the realm of this tree and the song. I can hear her singing with the children and in my dreams it creates something very special. Maybe someday a musician can use AI to make this happen. Until then, I will hear them come through the painting.
