About The Artwork
Starting with the desire to say something about the erasure of culture in the Middle East, I started with the destroyed temples, but it was not really true as a picture. So I went on to a big battle painting but did not like that either. Looking and listening to the news and thinking about the current events, I transformed it into an explosion - a big one! And also, not until I transformed the explosion into a chicken, did it start to work. Now I think it really works because the chicken is burning! The rest is open... The film is accompanied by Michael Neil's music and it helps to demonstrate the process of the painting.
