About The Artwork

Watercolor is such an independent media. There is no real control over it. Just like the emotions come and move on, watercolor does. And it finally finds its own way on and within the paper. we are not the one to decide how it should look, we try to be as precise as possible, to paint with as much intensity as possible but the ending is not in our hands. That's why I loved working with this media, it is always a new surprise.

From the narrow streets of Paris to the beaches of fine sands of Nouméa to the skyscrapers of New York, Shulamit Bismuth ends up in Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. A great opportunity for her to express her art skills and sensitivity. From a young age, she began training by copying masters and learning with Gislaine Mauri from Les Beaux Art. She becomes more familiar with different artistic forms of expression while searching her own path. At 16, influenced by Norbert Waysberg, she meets Paul Chin Bor at the New York Student League of Art. She is fascinated by the depth of the work of the watercolor master. Shulamit decides to invest most of her time to learn and discover all the secrets of this media. Severals years after, she frequently appears in the list of the artists exhibiting at the Art Beat 345 in New York. As well, she seized several times the opportunity to exhibit her work in Israel.
