About The Artwork

The inspiration behind my lotus painting in acrylics on canvas with gold spray paint stems from a deep reverence for nature's beauty and symbolism. The lotus, with its graceful elegance emerging from murky waters, has long captivated my imagination. Its journey from the depths of the pond to blossom into a pristine flower mirrors the human experience of overcoming adversity and achieving spiritual enlightenment. Through this painting, I hope to evoke a sense of tranquility and serenity within its viewers. I aim to transport them to a place of inner peace and reflection, where they can contemplate the beauty and resilience of nature. I want them to feel a connection to the lotus, to resonate with its message of purity, growth, and renewal. The choice of acrylics on canvas, combined with gold spray paint accents, was deliberate. Acrylics offer vibrant colors and versatility, allowing me to capture the intricate details of the lotus petals and the play of light on the water's surface. The addition of gold spray paint lends an ethereal quality to the painting, symbolizing the divine and the transcendence of the lotus above the mundane. As for why I chose the lotus as my subject matter, its symbolism holds profound meaning across various cultures and spiritual traditions. The lotus represents purity, enlightenment, and rebirth. It serves as a potent reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always the potential for growth and transformation.

As a Scientist-turned-artist, my journey is a fusion of my love for chemistry research and the boundless world of art. Through my exploration of chemical compounds, I've cultivated a deep admiration for creativity and self-expression. Equally at home with oil and acrylic mediums, I constantly push the boundaries of my artistic pursuits, venturing into new realms to nurture my creativity. Beyond my passion for art, I am also deeply committed to making a positive impact in the world. A percentage of my earnings is dedicated to supporting the NGO I collaborate with, focusing on the empowerment and education of girls across Bihar, India. It's a small contribution to a cause I hold dear, and it brings me great joy to know that my art can help make a difference in the lives of others.
