London scene showing the Shard building in all it's towering height, catching the early evening light bouncing off the glass exterior. The London skyline is transformed with this elegant building. I was excited by this building when the building was opened. I went along to see the opening with all the flashing lasers. I took lots of photos and drank in the atmosphere and finished the painting in my studio. I hope I caught some of the excitement in this painting. Original artwork with signed Certificate of Authenticity I can take off the frame and send just the canvas if preferred - this would be much cheaper shipping. Please contact me regarding this

My childhood was spent in Sussex where I developed a love of the rolling hills and country side. After Art college I moved to London where I continued painting. I discovered pastel painting a few years ago which I love for its brilliant pure colours. I found the light and rich colours of the South of France could be caught using using this medium. After visiting New York, where I had an exhibition , I was very interested in the awesome buildings and am currently painting a series of cityscapes of New York and London.Patricia is influenced by the French Impressionists.Working in oils and pastels, producing still lifes, landscapes and nudes of scenes that range from Twickenham to St.Tropez, Patricia's resulting work reflects the vibrant colours and brilliant light of the South of France.Patricia was recently made a member of the Society of Women Artists.
