About The Artwork
This is a companion piece to another recent painting, 'The Buzzing'. Bees are sacred and mysterious in their ways, and one of their ways is to swarm when the hive reaches capacity. The new queen with her workers and drones split off to find a new crevice or hole to make a home. Perhaps this person was chosen. I hope that viewers will let their minds wander as they tell themselves a new story about what is happening and not worry. The bees and man are in harmony here. The painting was done on a cradled wood panel that is 1.5 inches deep. The sides are currently left natural, but could be painted a solid neutral if that is desired. Hangs from a conventional wire. Titled, signed, and dated on the back panel; painted signature on the front (subtly).
