About The Artwork
This was a commissioned painting by my sister, Chrisanne Robertson, a superb watercolorist, who wanted a moonlit tiki piece for her house. I hope that viewers get a positive vibe and feel they're on vacation on some island of their choice when they view this work. Viewers have been enthusiastic in response to the bold, colorful and fun piece. Most of my recent paintings have been acrylic on yupo paper due to the effects you can attain with water-based paint on this surface. This painting is framed in a white wood (1" wide) with an acid-free matt (1.5").
