About The Artwork

What/who inspired the work? -Leonardo Da Vinci's huge horse statue model he once built in the city of Milan What do I hope its viewers will feel/think? -A sense of creative wonder for the expressive originality of the piece. Why did I choose the medium, subject matter, style? - I chose the medium of oil painting to experiment with its textures, colors, and fluidity. The subject of Leonardo's horse I took because I consider him one of the greatest painters who ever lived, and a mayor inspiration for me as an artist. The style is an experiment of what I call "Integralism" in which one combines three things, subjects, or techniques into one, in this case its the three primary colors into Da Vinci's horse.
