About The Artwork

This painting was given an "Award to Merit" at the prestigious DuPage Art League. One in a series of eggshell paintings where I explore the chromatic metamorphosis of humble broken eggshells in different lighting and seasons. Typically eggshells are discarded after their contents are used. Instead, I choose to celebrate eggshells as unique objects of surprising beauty. Here, the eggshells are carefully arranged against a table top near a window. The light within the eggshells creates a spectrum of varied, unexpected colors. A merging of abstract and realistic styles is used. Confident brushwork lends energy to the painting. This painting is already professionally framed under glass and an acid free white mat to the final dimensions of 20"x20". The frame is high quality gray/taupe wood. Wired and ready to hang. Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

After years as a medical artist producing anatomical illustrations, I am now a fine artist. I create sensitively nuanced paintings and drawings in a semi-abstract, semi-realistic style with vivid unexpected color. My paintings celebrate subtle shifts in light and emotion often overlooked in our busy lives. I do not follow art trends, nor a singular style because I am constantly experimenting. I feel experimentation is essential to my creativity. This way my paintings are unique and one of a kind. Raised in New Jersey, I live near Chicago.
