The Warring Worshipper Shofar means “to cut” or “to carve into”. The root Hebrew word for Shofar is SHAFAR which means “to remove the veil of the bride”, “ to shine” or “to beautify”. Thus it literally means “to remove the veil for the beauty to shine”. It portrays the picture of cutting into the darkness and removing the veil of the bride. His voice cuts the atmosphere and everything in heaven and earth. It cuts through principalities, power, and all darkness. The Shofar resembles the voice of YHVH and makes the enemy tremble as we call on our Father’s name. The Shofar is a weapon of Spiritual Warfare . Rev 4:1 After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a [war] trumpet speaking with me, said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things." The Shofar sound enrages and confuses the enemy. 1Th 4:16 - 17 For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the archangel and with the [blast of the] trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain [on the earth] will simultaneously be caught up (raptured) together with them [the resurrected ones] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord! Whenever the sound of the Shofar is heard, you must know that YHVH fights for you. Amo 2:2 "So I will send a fire [of war, conquest, and destruction] upon Moab And it shall devour the strongholds of Kerioth; And Moab shall die amid tumult and uproar, With war cries and shouts of alarm and the sound of the trumpet. Amo 3:6 If a trumpet is blown in a city [warning of danger] will not the people tremble? If a disaster or misfortune occurs in a city has not the LORD caused it? Neh 4:18 – 20 “ Every builder had his sword secured at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the trumpet [to summon the troops] stood at my side. I said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, "The work is great and extensive, and we are separated on the wall, far from one another. Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, gather to us there. Our God will fight for us." Num 10:9 “When you go to war in your land against the enemy that attacks you, then sound an alarm with the trumpets, so that you may be remembered before the LORD your God, and you shall be saved from your enemies.” Blowing the Shofar is a prophetic action that declares: “ I am not fighting this battle in my own strength. I surrender to my Father’s authority and strength. He will fight on my behalf and will overcome the enemy.” The 7 feasts of YHVH portrays His salvation plan for mankind. The last 3 feasts have not been fulfilled yet. Feast of Trumpets or Yom Teruah. Teruah means both _ ‘battle cry” and “a shout of joy & worship”. Thus blowing the shofar is a act of worship and total reliance on YHVW to fight your battles for you. Not by might, nor by power but by His Spirit…. The Bride must be armed with her Sword – The Word of YHVW! Heb_4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The first time we read of the Almond Blossoms in the Word of God is in Ex 25:31-40. This is where Father told Moses to make the Tabernacle and all the implements in the Tabernacle exactly as He shows him - as it is in heaven. In this scripture, He tells him how the golden lampstand must be made. This is the only light inside the Holy place. The lampstand was to be decorated with Almond blossoms.We know that all the implements were a picture of Yeshua. The Lampstand is a picture of Yeshua as the Word - the light to the World. All the Furniture in the courtyard and holy place were either made of wood, covered by gold or bronze. The Menorah was the only solid gold item - this shows to Yeshua’s Divinity, pureness of the Word, and His glory. Psl 119:140 “Your Word is very pure (tried and well refined)…” It was made in the shape of Almond branches with blossoms - carrying the fire for light. It consisted of 7 oil lamps (7 - Fullness, Completeness Perfection, 7-fold Spirit of God (Rev 4: 5)) It had 3 branches to the left of the shaft with 3 flower buds and 3 branches to right with each 3 flower buds. The shaft had 4 flower buds, a total of 22 flower buds. Interesting to know is that the Hebrew alphabet consists of 22 letters - the building blocks of YHVH’s Word. Each of these 22 flower buds consisted of a bowl, knobs and flowers. Thus there were 22 x 3 ornaments, total 66. Interesting to know that the Word of God consists of 66 books. The Almond Tree is the 1st tree to awake in spring and the last tree to shed its leaves - thus the longest tree to stay awake. We also read of the Almond tree in Jer 1: 11-12 “ …. Jeremiah, what sees thou? And I said I see a rod of an Almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me, thou hast seen well; for I hasten My Word to perform it.” YHVH gives the answer for what an almond stands for. It is a picture of His Word. The Hebrew word for Almond is SHA’KED - from the root word SHA’KAD. This means “to be watchful, to remain watchful, on the lookout and alert at all times”. Therefore the Menorah symbolize the Word of YHVH. We also see the Almond blossoms in Aaron’s rod. This was a dead piece of wood that blossomed with Almond flowers. In Jesus, we that are dead, are raised up to life by the living Word. Joh 11:25 Jesus said to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life! He who believes in Me, though he die, yet he shall live. Aaron’s rod was also a picture of our authority as priests in God’s Kingdom. The Blossoms shows the promise of fruit. Only through His Holy Spirit are we able to bear fruit when we eat His seed - The Word. No other seed can produce Kingdom fruit. We will be known by our fruit. Psl 1. ..But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].
