White Flag is a painting that explores the theme of surrendering to peace in a world of chaos and conflict. The central figure wears a horse mask, which symbolizes the strength and courage of humanity to pursue peace despite the challenges. The horse mask also references the Trojan Horse, a famous example of deception and subversion in ancient warfare. The painting conveys a powerful message of seeking peace and harmony amidst disorder and discord, and challenges the viewer to question their own role and responsibility in creating a better world. The painting also expresses a longing for a world full of music and fun, as a contrast to the violence and oppression that surround the figure. The musical notes and instruments in the background evoke the idea of harmony, both in the musical and the social sense. The painting also incorporates elements of surrealism, a artistic movement that aimed to liberate the imagination and the subconscious from the constraints of reality.White Flag is a painting that explores the theme of surrendering to peace in a world of chaos and conflict.
