About The Artwork

Its a recitation of my favourite names of Allah that are often recited to ease every hardship. Just like the counter, this artwork is my artistic counter where i have placed each dot while reciting the names of Allah. This orange colour is my favourite one and i made its contrast with black to balance its sparkle. Its purely a spiritual exercise and for sure will give peace to its owner too. In sha Allah. Its safely packed in a box with a signature at the back and a nice thin black frame ready to be hanged. RECITE: Every name has its own meaning and has a different purpose. We all believe in reciting them as much as possible in our lives to make it easier. I have always seen everyone reciting these “wird” on either fingers or counters and inspired by that practice I created these artworks in which I have done proper wird. Each piece of work is a proper wird in which I have recited respective name of Allah on every dot with awwal and akhir durood. This work is a practice of doing wird just to praise Allah and to attain his blessings through it. All copyrights © reserved by Mahwish Khan.

I am Mahwish Khan, a distinction-holder Fine Artist from the University of Karachi. Currently living in Islamabad, Pakistan. I am a Contemporary Spiritual Artist and the first person to do Mathematical Calligraphies. Since my childhood, I have been into art and creativity. Paints, Textures and different techniques are what give me the most peaceful moments of my life. I love nature and The Creator of it so much that it gives me a boost to praise His creations and create my art too while exploring different techniques of Impressionism, Expressionism, Abstract Art, Geometric Art, Illustrative Paintings, knife techniques and much more. Vermillion, scarlet and yellow are the colors I love the most in paintings and that is because I live for sunsets. As much as I love black and white for my mathematical calligrapies, I also love to do colorful paintings to unwind and it's an absolute balance of my personality that I enjoy the most about myself. The more I love to create art, I find happiness in teaching it too. it's been 7 years since I have been giving online art courses and workshops, preparing students for their art school's aptitude exams, and last but not least giving some amazing onsite art workshops to all age groups. I would love to see you in my world, you all are most welcome.
