This is a gecko lizard looking at me in the wonderful island of Formentera. This is a species of lizard in the family Lacertidae and it is most closely associated with the islands of Formentera and Ibiza, in the Balearic Islands. The natural habitats of this kind of lizard are temperate shrubland, Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, rocky areas, rocky shores, arable land, pastureland, plantations, rural gardens, and urban areas. This lizard appear in culture and floklore os the Balearic Islands such as in art, on clothing and postcards, and their images are on display in restaurants, hotels, and homes throughout the islands.
