I took the photo at the pedestrian bridge. Unsuspectedly before, gemstone ring or locally known as Cincin batu akik fever hit all levels of society throughout Indonesia. Suddenly the agate became the prey of the community. Apparently, the trigger was back in 2015 when President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono gives the Bacan stone as a souvenir to President Barack Obama. Stones that were once known to be close to the mystical world have now become objects of art, status symbols, and investment materials.
