New Orleans is a place filled with interesting local culture. I'm not sure that a graffiti "sign" reading "King Baby" would make much sense anywhere else. Some would be taken aback the first time they are called "Baby" by a stranger. In this day and age it might conjure up some sensitivity and seem odd to hear in such a liberal city. Then you hear a bearded 30 something with a man bun called "Baby" by one of his friends and it all makes sense! Sort of? This image was captured one morning in the Bywater neighborhood just down river from the French Quarter. This neighborhood was called the "upper ninth ward" before hurricane Katrina. With very minimal flood damage, it flourished under its new designation and has become a thriving neighborhood filled with cafes, art galleries and air B&Bs. I'm offering this image as an open edition for prints and canvases. It would make a great piece for a den, office or man cave. If you're interested in a limited edition please contact me and I will make that happen.

Thomas Schneider was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, spent most of his adult life in northern Michigan, and now resides in New Orleans, Louisiana. His 45-year history with photographic art led him to explore many styles and techniques, producing a unique collection of images. Many of these pieces are now being offered to collectors for the first time. Moving to New Orleans in 2013, he works and socializes with many talented artists in various mediums. His emersion in this community has inspired new work and focus on his primary passion, abstracts. Finding aesthetically pleasing representations of the interplay of objects, color, and light, where that interplay is the "subject" rather than any individual element. That challenge continually pushes him to seek the places where that interplay hides in plain sight. website: https://www.thomasschneiderphotography.com/
