For different sizes please contact on: taylansoyturk@gmail.com The ancient Ionian city of Phocaea (also spelled Phokaia), now Foca in Aegean Turkey, is located to the north of Izmir, on the shores of the Aegean Sea, just at the mouth of the Bay of Izmir. Foca is jeweled with a group of small beautiful islands, these are Orak, Incir, Fener, Hayirsiz, Metalik and Kartdere islands. Orak and Incir islands are known as Sirens rocks mentioned in Homers Odyssey. According to the epic, unwary sailors, hypnotized and lured by the Sirens songs, crashed their ships into these rocks. In Greek mythology, the Sirens, like Harpies, are winged female creatures usually depicted as beautiful women whose bodies and voices are seductive. It is most probable that these strange sounds are the effects of the wind blowing over these strange volcanic rock formations.
