Armanda Klimavičiūtė - Armmavi is an artist of the younger generation, born in 1998, in Lithuania. Scanography appeared in Armmavi's life unexpectedly - back in 2019. Completely intuitively tried to scan a few plants at home. In 2022 the author returned to this mysterious but increasingly popular branch of photography and began to create a series of works. When creating screenplays, the author applies the knowledge gained in graphic design studies, and carefully processes the images. The software is mostly used for visual noise - cleaning various dusts, as well as applying color and texture filters. However, this type of intervention is minimal. The essence of the scenography created by Armmavi is visual and color "defects", which determine the charm of this artistic technique and the arising meaningful associations. Although the objects in the works are two-dimensional and flat, the artist manages to create the illusion of depth. Armmavi makes maximum use of the width of the limited scanned field and, by variously changing the backgrounds and the distances of the scanned objects, creates a mystical, unfamiliar and curiosity-stimulating space. The viewer, looking at the author's works, can feel as if they are looking at relics compressed in space, suspended in time, conveying the transience of beauty.
