Standing watching a large wave break over the coastal rocks the overriding sense is one of power - one can almost feel the ground tremble. Then it is repeated with the next wave and then the next wave. Like a giant pounding on an anvil. Looking at this print one can feel the power and enjoy the wonderful surrounds. Kleinmond in the Western Cape region of South Africa is the home of waves. There are very few people so one can enjoy an amazing feeling of solitude while watching this powerful performance. Above all I am a passionate, creative photographer. Photography can be a powerful commentary on life - a reflection of the beauty of the world - or any of a number of creative statements. With all my images I try to be just a bit different. When you have one of my creations on your wall, I would like you to find it continually interesting...fascinating ...reflective...thought provoking...peaceful - evoking any of a number of emotions ... but above all enjoyable. I have had the privilege of traveling extensively around the world and have always found that photography can give one an extra stimulus of interest and enjoyment. I hope that some of this comes through in my images with Saatchi. Although my career began in the film era, I really enjoy the freedom of digital. It really suits my experimental approach. How I get to my end result is only of passing interest - it is the creative, eye pleasing end result that really counts.
