About The Artwork
Flying home for a family crisis I was looking out the window and praying. It occurred to me how from the distance of 30000 feet the world looked so peaceful and calm. There is a sense of peace in the hush that I think is like floating. I wondered if we could use that lens to see our joys and sorrows. For the true magnitude they are… will they endure and leave a mark like a mountain or will it be erased like a footprint in the sand ? Monotype is my favorite way of working. The process is cyclic , rhythmic and requires presence. The method echoes life and for me that echo is reassuring. This comes unmounted to allow for personal preferences in framing.
