About The Artwork

I used to live near this spot and have always been fascinated by the overwhelming complexity of the bridge, the city below it, and the highway racing by it. One feels like an ant in the midst of all the towering architecture, structural engineering and cement below ones feet. Not a plant or natural object to be seen.

I lived in New York City for 23 years. I worked in the deadline-oriented, fast pace of The New York Daily News as a staff artist. I am still painting scenes of the city even though I just live just outside of it now. I am intrigued by the city's unique people, perspectives and tempo. There is no other place quite like it.
