Behind him a life filled with important experiences, Dee Brown now has reinvented himself and emerges as graphic artist. Operating from the Netherlands, Dee Brown sees himself as an European artist with strong American bonding. His love for the American highway, guns and vintage American cars pay tribute to this. But there is also a specific European influence in his use of typography which reveals some of his earlier training. Most of all his trained 'photographic eye' is the start for his work, as can be witnessed in his 'Roadkill' series. But a clean picture is never the outcome, as there always is the desire to add some layers of 'static on the line'.
